school's out! for! summer! 

yes yes yes, no more stress, no more forced conversations, the only times I will leave the house for the next few months will be driven by need for sunlight, nature and to interact with people whose presence I actually enjoy. mwahahahaha...

updates on my life! I won some monies, and will be buying Paint Tool Sai for my laptop this summer. also I read all of the available game of thrones books (fan art forthcoming), and will be reopening commissions soon. so yes. life is good. oh, and I have eight thousand messages in my inbox, most of which will probably be deleted (oops). 

in all seriousness, I know I've been neglecting art the past few months (actually, over the past school year). this was my first year of highschool and it was insanely busy with all of the activities I'm involved with (marching band, rotc, two honors societies, all honors classes, vice president of book club), and I've neglected my drawing a lot (next year might even be worse). I have a lot of improving to do this summer and I plan to draw whenever possible.

Winter is almost over, but there's still snow on the ground. My tablet is fixed and I'm drawing again, but I still don't know what I'm doing. 

I don't know. I'm enjoying what I'm drawing, but I feel like something's missing. Everything I draw looks different in style from the last thing I drew. I can't settle on a certain style of shading or anatomy. I guess I just have to experiment until I find something I like, but it's driving me nuts in the meantime. I think part of the problem is I only really have three or four characters I enjoy drawing, and Leonard's the only character I have at this point that I myself created. The next few weeks could very well be just me exploring shading styles and designing a couple new characters.

On a positive note, Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it! And even if you don't celebrate Easter, I hope you're having a good spring! Summer is almost here, mwahahaha...just have to hold out a few more months. And the Walking Dead season 5 finale's tonight, so that's definitely worth celebrating. (: I've been getting into the Walking Dead video game recently, so I might draw some fanart of Clementine and Lee soon.
